Goodbye Mr Edwards

Well, it seems John Edwards is done. Apparently, there are two Americas and neither wanted Edwards as President.

I'm not necessarily happy about the turn of events. For one thing, it securely cements Kerry as the Democratic candidate. That means there is no more show in the Democratic primaries. I like a nice show.

Furthermore, Edwards reminds me a lot of Dennis the Menace, at least in appearance. I looked forward to seeing all the editorial cartoons of Edwards in bibbed overalls with a slingshot in his back pocket.

I can only hope that Kerry will pick Edwards as his vice presidential candidate. Then we will still have that spunky little tyke to play with. I offer my condolences to the Edwards supporters. (Note that I never offered condolences to Dean supporters, hee hee hee.)
