According to a future encyclopedia article from the year 2148, the War of the Trousers will have been fought between two groups. One group believed that it was important to give meaningful names to historical events. The opposing group believed that events should have confusing names that would confuse future historians for the amusement of those who survived the event.

I didn't get to see the rest of the article, so I didn't see who won.
