Waffled, worrisome Wooly Worm
Widened on the road
Temporarily touched by traveling tire
Without the apology owed
Here you were headed
Happily homeward
Prior to your poor
Pan-caking on pavement
Brothers and butterflies
By now of your bane heard
Can caterpillar cousins'
Grief find containment
With no waffled, worrisome,
Wooly wake to attend
Can your waffled, worrisome
Wooly Worm spirit ascend
