Holiday Decorating Tip

Here's a helpful tip for those of you who may be putting up the standard, American Christmas decorations. I think you will find it appropriate. If your Christmas tree has ornaments in the form of cute animals or other characters, and you have colored lights, you must pay attention to how the lights are set in relation to the decoration.

The obvious problem is when you have a red light as the primary illumination for a cute animal it will cast a diabolic tinge to the critter. Likewise, you probably don't want an elf with a brightly lit crotch. Also, make note that some shadows can take on inappropriate shapes if you aren't careful.

By taking the time to consider these issues while doing the initial work, you can save some serious embarrassment later. Of course, you also prevent some giggling.
